2009 ELECTION RESULT

Now UPA govt will celeberate its victory by allowing ....

1. More Terror attacks
2. More Bomb Blasts
3. More Corruption
4. More appeasement & Votebank politics

we ourselves are to be blamed for being irresponsible with such a shamefully low voter turnout.

Here are the things to fear from Congress rule( in order of importance):

a) Extension of reservations to private sector.

b) More socialistic wasteful policies and not enough liberalization.

c) Resuscitation of peace process and business as usual with Pak within an year's time

d) Continued inaction on illegal immigration

Delhi girl Aakriti Bhatia's death

17-year-old Delhi girl Aakriti Bhatia's death after an asthma attack during school hours was "unfortunate" and "shocking". But the media must stop the frenzy that is being created on this topic. There are thousands of schools in rural India w/o basic amenities where children eat mid-day meals cooked from the most unhygenic ingredients, where poor kids get scorched in the sun, get drenched in the rain with authorities lacking in basic empathy.Just because it is Delhi and just because the student's family is rich and the school is famous, so much of hype is being generated.

Jago..wake up youths

Nowadays, the Indian youths are somehow deprived of the political facts, environmental facts and various facts they must know about. They have enough ability to know all these things but they don't find time to give a single minute to the daily newspapers which are often read by the elders of the house. I am not here to say the youngsters to start reading newspapers. I am not advertising for any particular newspaper agency. All I want to say to wake up. Open your eyes. Do know what is going around you. It is your right. Do know who is leading the country, not by his name of course, by his acts, his deeds, by his background, by his success or failure. These hands are not invisible who are leading us. If we like him, we can hold his hands and if we don't then we can break them too. We can do anything. We have enough power. I am not giving any speech. I am not a leader and I don't want to be. Just I want to convey my message to all the Indian youths to know their rights and power. Don't sleep. Don't limit yourselves in course books, projects and searching for loves and life partners. Of course, give these things considerable time but don't ever forget your identity, rights and power. The malicious people are scattered around you and they are openly doing ill acts which may harm our whole society. They have different faces. Some are in the mask of politicians, some are corporate...and some are terrorists. But we cannot reach them directly to grab them. But we can use our word power to defend them at least. So express yourself in this blog.

Stop using leather products

I was just watching a show in the television related to how the leather products are made. They are produced in a large amount in India with the increasing demand of leather products over here. We often use them in our daily life and we ignore the truth behind its way of manufacture willingly. I am really shocked. I will really never use the leather goods from today. Leather has always been the 'poor relation' of the animal rights movement, never arousing the passions that hunting, vivisection, live exports etc do. But there is a strong moral issue to be addressed here and there is also much good that can be done.

Most people will refuse to buy fur, ... but most of those same people will happily buy leather. Why? Immorality? Is it not that the anti-leather arguments put forward up to now are too week and too few? Why should this be when there is cruelty and suffering involved in parts of the leather industry that match and surpass the worst excesses of any of the more popular causes? Whilst the pragmatic answer, as always, is education and providing viable alternatives, it has to be realised that in all such matters unless you stir the emotions you won't get a result and a whole new set of stronger and more appealing arguments are needed for this issue, that has deserved better of 'us' for a very long time.
